Deputy Suzanne Hopper, 40, was shot and killed by a mentally ill person on January 1, 2011, while responding to a call near Enon Beach Campground. Ten years after her murder, she is still remembered by the police. Thousands of law enforcement officers from across the country attended her funeral, with a 1600-vehicle procession through Clark County, and stood in heavy snow as she was laid to rest.
