Shwu-Wei Yeh, a resident of Naperville, IL, died in a traffic accident on Wednesday, September 25, 2013. She was 56.
Truly majestic mother of Catherine and Calvin Parng, devoted daughter of Yueh-Ying and the late Ai-Qing Yeh, adored sister of YuFeng Yeh and Chaopin Yeh, the “cool aunt” of Jenny and Amanda Yeh, former spouse of Ming Parng. Shwu-Wei was the family dog (Coco’s) favorite person ever. She couldn’t have been friends with more people without accidentally having conquered the universe.

Shwu-Wei came to the United States from Taiwan to complete her graduate studies in computer engineering at North Carolina State University in Raleigh. In 1989, she joined ATT Bell Labs (now Alcatel-Lucent) where she was a Technical Manager. Shwu-Wei maintained a zombie slaying garden, traveled everywhere, and kept up with quality television.
