Obituary
Michael “Mike” D. Turner was born June 12, 1965 in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma. He was the youngest of two children born to Ronald Turner and Linda Carroll. Growing up in Moore, Oklahoma Mike attended Moore Elementary and High School. Mike would later move to Broken Arrow, Oklahoma. Mike became involved in a group called the BA Chivers. The BA Chivers, are a local non-profit, 100% volunteer community/charitable organization. Mike was involved in every event the BA Chivers; he put on and donated his time and money to benefit the charities that the BA Chivers supported. No matter what the charity was, or who it benefited, Mike would always approach the event with an open heart and an open mind. Few people know what it means to “Chive”, but Mike was the epitome of what that meant – helping your fellow man with no want or desire to reap any kind of benefit in return in an effort to make the world a little bit better through random acts of kindness. Mike was just that. In addition to the BA Chivers Mike was very much and advocate for his beliefs in politics and even had the opportunity to attend two Inaugurations in Washington DC. When Mike was not advocating for his beliefs he loved spending time with his family and friends. He was known for upbeat, vivacious, happy, vibrant personality. He was always full of energy and had a larger than life attitude. Everything Mike did was over the top including the annual Halloween Party that he and Cyndi held. Mike loved fishing, boating, camping, bowling and riding motorcycles. Mikes larger than life personality impacted every aspect of his life including his work. He was always trying to better himself and had just completed his 3rd year of an electrical apprenticeship program. Mike will be deeply missed by all his friends and family. Mike is survived by his spouse Cyndi Sweeney; son Nial Sweeney; daughter Sydnie Sweeney; son Calvin Sweeney; father Ronald and his wife Linda Mae Turner; mother Linda Kay Carroll; sister Tammy Lynn and her husband Jerry Zakrzewski and niece and nephews Michael, Sabra and Alex.
